Deepavali celebrated with song and dance

The Ladysmith Deepavali Celebration Committee, in association with other religious institutions, held colourful Deepavali celebrations on Sunday morning at the SDS Hall.

Young and old gathered to enjoy a day filled with entertainment and music that symbolised the triumph of good over evil and light over dark.

The entertainment included various song and dance performances.

The Prakash Orchestra was also on hand to provide soothing melodies, and their performance was extraordinary. The children really put everything they had into their performances and were spectacular.

After the well-organised entertainment programme, a scrumptious lunch was served to all. Ice tea and ice lollies were handed out to those present.

It was a lovely morning for all those who attended.
