VIDEO GALLERY: Mother Nature raises the roof
The unforeseen freak of nature took place on an otherwise pleasant and sunny day, with no indication of inclement weather, not even a cloud in the perfectly blue sky.
IN a random act of destruction, Mother Nature struck at Pick ‘n Pay in Vryheid at approximately 12:20 on the afternoon of November 6.
According to staff at the store, a tornado suddenly appeared out of nowhere, wreaked havoc above the store, ripping off sections of the roof in its path and disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.
Within a matter of approximately ten seconds, the tornado caused extensive damage to the roof, leaving it battered and in a state of total disrepair.

No other buildings in the surrounding area sustained even the slightest damage from the tornado.
Acting swiftly, management at Pick ‘n Pay have already made arrangements for repairs to proceed.
