The provincial competition for the Financial Speech Contest was held on Friday, October 23 at the Port Shepstone Civic Hall. 12 districts were represented at the competition.

Sphelele Mkhize from Estcourt High School represented the Uthukela district. The theme of this year’s competition was “Talk Money”. Learners had a choice of three topics.

Sphelele was awarded second position in the province. She won many prizes including a Tablet and a R16 000 bursary for three years towards her B.Com Degree. She also won a Data Projector for her school. The school would like to thank Miss Tshezi and Miss Pillay for their hard work in coaching
