It was fitting the launch of Lief-Dit, a new venture by optometrist, Liana Dicks (Engelbrecht) was started with a fervent prayer.
The business was formally opened on November 9.
At the launch, Mrs Dicks said the idea of opening a shop came to her some time earlier, although she awaited a sign from the Lord before taking the plunge.
“I prayed on the decision. I said if my business partner agreed to a 50/50 partnership, that would be my sign.”
After some initial butterflies, Crizanne Botes would eventually request a half-half partnership, providing Mrs Dicks with the divine answer she had awaited.
Ms Botes had also sought a new challenge.
Explaining the name of the business, Mrs Dicks said it came from her love of nice things, adding there would be no change to her optometry practice.
