South African Tamil Federation distributes hampers for Diwali

Diwali is a time of forgiveness and new beginnings. It is also about caring for the community, and the South African Tamil Federation (SATF) Economic Forum is making a difference, one parcel at a time.
Last Friday, members of SATF Economic Forum distributed 150 food hampers to the needy in Newcastle and Northern Natal areas.
Established in 2014, this non-profit organisation knows what it means to go the extra mile.
“This year we handed out 800 hampers nationally to destitute families,” said Seeralan Naidoo, Gauteng Provincial Coordinator of SATF.
With most members of the organisation residing in the Gauteng province, it was not too much of an effort to depart from Johannesburg at 3am on Friday morning and embark on the selfless, charitable journey of serving the less fortunate communities of Northern Natal.
Administrated by managing directors and executive chairmen of their own companies, members of SATF Economic Forum worked in harmony to achieve this tremendous initiative.
National Coordinator,Vis Naidoo, explained: “The least we can do is to give back to the community.”
