Deon Dreyer amazes the crowd at bike jol

The Elite Pig Jol was held on Saturday afternoon at Elite Motorcycles in Murchison Street.

Large crowds of people attended the event, with the main attraction being the bike stunts by Deon Dreyer, Michaela Marais and Angie Morris.

Deon and his team had the spectators gasping with death-defying stunts on two-wheeled metal machines.

Two stunt shows were presented by Deon and his team on Saturday.

The sound of Deon warming up his Suzuki motorcycle could be heard vibrating all the way from the middle of town.

When Deon revved his machine, it activated car alarms and even shop alarms in the street, showing his bike’s raw stunt-performing power.

Popping wheelies at high speed is not out of the ordinary for everyday bikers, but Deon takes it to the next level by doing it with only one leg on his bike or even sitting on the handlebars.

The crowd cheered his every move!

The ‘burnouts’ saw Deon scorching the tyres of his bike by going around in a ‘figure 8’ and also spinning his bike around his team of Michaela and Angie.

What really had the crowd going is when Deon used a tyre to etch his name on the tarmac in burning rubber, with wheels screeching all the while.

Then Deon and his team really took the stunts to a whole new level, with all three members on the bike, popping wheelies while two members flung their hands and legs in the air.

The Ladysmith crowd showed their appreciation by cheering and clapping throughout each of the ‘runs’.

The Pig Jol and stunt show was enjoyed by all who witnessed it, young and old alike!
