Bhekuzulu senior citizens tour Durban
We all know that elders from all walks of life are overburdened and BSSP decided to organise a tour that could bring joy
Monday, November 9 is a day that Bhekuzulu senior citizens will never forget. The Bhekuzulu Self- Sufficient Project (BSSP) organised a tour for senior citizens to visit Durban, which really had a positive psychological effect on the lives of the elders as it brought peace of mind to all our senior citizens.
We all know that elders from all walks of life are overburdened and BSSP decided to organise a tour that could bring joy and some sort of relief to the elders.
Indeed joy and excitement could be seen on the faces of the elders as they sang and danced happily in the morning on the yard of Bhekuzulu Self-Sufficient Project. The elders eagerly waited for the taxis to take them to Durban. Four taxis, which Imbabazane Local Municipality organised for the elders arrived.
54 senior citizens were transported to Durban, singing and hooting started as taxis made their way out. When we got to the beach, the elders were led to where they could swim under the supervision of the life guards. It was a fabulous day for the elders and refreshments were served after swimming.
