Fatal truck crash on the R74 near Greytown     

Four have died in the accident this morning.

Two men and a woman and an unknown fourth person have died in a crash involving a truck and a car on the R74 near Greytown. Paramedics from KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash.

On their arrival, they found that s three people had already  died on the scene of the crash. Paramedics treated two people who were both in a critical condition, having sustained multiple injuries. The patients were transported to a local health institution for continued medical care.

One of the patients passed away on arrival at hospital, bring the total number of fatalities from the crash to four victims.

The exact cause of the crash is not known at this stage and will be investigated by the police.

“As KZN EMS, we would like to send our condolences to the victims families and loved ones,” said spokesman, Robert McKenzie.
