As sort-of expected, the anonymous generous R2-million donor to East Coast Radio’s Toy Story campaign has disappeared… in spite of making a pledge on Friday afternoon on the Damon Beard Show.  He was to have given R50 000 immediately and the rest on Monday…

However, ECR wrote on their facebook page:

So, we cannot get hold of our anonymous R2-million ‪#‎ECRToyStory‬ donor from Friday. He seems to have disappeared. We need YOUR advice. What should we do? What would YOU do to get the money

That is really worrying that someone can phone in and pledge such a large amount of money and not deliver … With regards to not buying toys… in any child’s eyes, Christmas to them means they hope to get a toy … A bit sad not to when that is all they have to look forward to … I say give the toy and give them food as well.

So you mean 2m just bites the dust? how shamefull that feels, anyway for the toys sake i would let it go either and try to get somthing better to live with (like food)
i like wat ECR’s doing but we must remember that toys are just WANTS not a NEEDS in life…anyway donor waz a cruel mybe so we must let it go!!!
