Tight finish to Mayoral golf day
The Endumeni Mayoral Golf Day was a swinging success.

The Endumeni Mayoral Golf Day took place on December 5 at the Dundee Country Club, and although the initial expectation of a hundred golfers never materialised, the 56 players that turned up enjoyed the day.
Playing the competition in the I.P.S. format, there were five players who all managed to score 38 individual points, resulting in the first five positions being determined on the count out system.
Winning 1st prize was S Nzenza, 2nd J Khumalo, 3rd A Mthembu, 4th P Sithole and in 5th place was G Scott.
The nearest the pin prize on hole No. 4 went to Dolly Bradbury and Dave Donaldson picked up the prize for nearest the pin on hole No. 8.
Heinrich Meyer was fortunate enough to score 11 jackpot points to claim the jackpot prize money.
There were a number of players who carded a 2 Club, and sharing the prize money were, M Sithole No. 4, P Mthembu No. 12 and R Streak, W Langa and S Ndlovu all on hole no. 16.
The Squash Club Championship finals were played last Monday evening, and in a closely contested final, Walter Du Plessis managed to beat Sifiso Kunene 2-1 to be crowned champion once again.
Kevin Mattison won the play off for third place by beating Morné Mareé. This weekend’s golf fixtures: Friday afternoon 11 hole Meat Competition and Saturday’s Club competition will be a 4 B.B.B. S. format.
