Sophia Rossouw – Bringing the joy of Christmas to those in need
With Christmas only mere days away, Mrs Rossouw has taken it upon herself, and made it her life’s mission to ensure the less fortunate children of Newcastle can have a festive day to remember.
Worth her weight in gold, Sophia Rossouw has become a figurehead and pillar of strength to those in need.
On December 9, she hosted a Christmas concert for her festive project at Amajuba High School .
With Christmas only mere days away, Mrs Rossouw has taken it upon herself, and made it her life’s mission to ensure the less fortunate children of Newcastle can have a festive day to remember.
“Children are special and very important, and in my opinion they come first, no mater what. I used to be in a similar situation, not knowing how I was going to get by, but now I can help make a difference in someone else’s life,” said Mrs Rossouw.
The purpose of the concert was to raise funds to buy food for 47 less fortunate children in Newcastle, and hopefully raise enough money to also buy each child a small Christmas present.
The guests were entertained by local talents, including Jaco Strydom, Nadia Coetzee, Dominique Tarin and Riaan Kukard.
Sophia thanked all the guests and everyone who was involved in making this very special evening possible.
