Town of queues…
Home Affairs and the Dundee police station is today the scene of snaking queues as members of the public ready themselves for the new school year.

Long queues at Home Affairs and at the Dundee SAPS have caused the local community much distress this week.
Most people have lined up outside Home Affairs today since 9am and were still waiting outside the building at lunch time.
“I have been standing in the queue for for a long time,” said Fisane Sithole, “They told us we will have to wait and it will take a long time before we receive any help.”
Inside, the waiting room was full and with limited personnel, it is expected that many will have to return tomorrow to apply for ID’s and birth certificate in readiness for the new school year which starts tomorrow.
The Dundee police members have had to cope with an influx of people wanting to have documents certified.
