La Gratitude recently held a celebratory gathering in honour of the new walkway sponsored by La Bri Retirement Village in Newcastle.

Jomari Batista, CEO at La Gratitude Home of the Aged, welcomed and thanked La Bri chairman, Chris Booysen and his members for their generous contribution in sponsoring the walkway.

“It is much easier for us to transport the aged people of our homes, now that we have a functional walkway,” said Mrs Batista.

Although the walkway was completed last year, staff and members of La Gratitude wanted officially thank La Bri Retirement Village at this ceremony.

A double celebration was on the table as one of La Bri’s members, Chris le Roux celebrated his 80th birthday.
