Forthefuturelady hosts planning workshop
Details of workshop: March 18 at 10 am until 1 pm at the Dundee Civic Centre, McKenzie Street.

Forthefuturelady, an online informational developmental youth hub is scheduled to host their second annual ‘Personal Developmental Planning’ workshop for young females in Dundee, on March 18.
The free workshop aims to target young females, from grades 9-12 as well as females who have completed matric but may need pertinent information about opportunities as well training for entry level jobs markets. The workshop will cover numerous topics that will benefit them.
These workshops are currently conducted extensively in schools and tertiary institutes in the Johannesburg area, is being hosted for the second year in Dundee. Shireen Ramjoo, founder of Forthefuturelady and author of the book titled ‘Turning Challenges to Achievements’, believes that it is vital for females to progress in our societies.
“Our young girls are falling victim to unfortunate circumstances like teenage pregnancy, sugar daddy syndromes amidst other issues. Empowerment initiatives like these, is pivotal for the growth of our young children, as they are our future. Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of motivation for them to see that they can achieve great things.”
The workshop will cover: Personal Developmental planning, effective ways of goal setting, how to use your cell phone effectively, career choice information, bursary information, learnership information, internship information. In preparation for older children:
Working abroad opportunities, youth accelerator programmes, front desk/customer care skills, telephone etiquette, time management skills, how to search effectively for employment, preparing yourself for employment, preparing yourself for an interview and creating effective CV’s. They further will assist girls who are potential candidates for bursary recipients with application forms and guidance of process.
Others could also benefit, as they will create CV’s for them if their details are sent through methods that will be highlighted at workshop.
