Community shows outstanding support for CANSA

Pam Golding went all out last weekend in support of the CANSA Shavathon.

Staff of Pam Golding hosted a luminaria candle-lighting ceremony on Friday night. With the support of Huttenpark Primary School and North City, who donated the candles, they managed to sell more than 800 candles for the fund-raiser.

Caring members of the public donated almost R2 000 over and above the candle sales. Cancer survivors and family members lit candles for loved ones lost and in support of the fight against cancer.

Messages of love on the lanterns brought tears to many hearts. Salon Michelle and students from Qualitas Academy generously volunteered their skills as hairdressers for the day, and cut and sprayed hair.

Pam Golding’s very own Angie Garner, had her hair shaved off.

“With a combined effort from the candle-lighting ceremony, the Shavathon and from generous donations from the public, we have raised a whopping R10 000. We will request a wish list from CANSA and we will be donating R10 000’s worth of necessary items to the organisation.” said Samantha Wade, Dealer Principal of Pam Golding Properties.

She thanked the community for their outstanding support and generosity throughout the fund-raiser.
