EVERY recipe calls for certain ingredients, but when two of those ingredients are a sprinkle of love and a dash of compassion, you can be sure that cake was baked by Elmarie Botha of Koek and Snuffelhoek.

Elmarie was approached by the organisers of the fundraising initiative to bake two cakes under the Alphabet Cake theme, making use of the letters ‘P’ and ‘S’ for the cause, which she graciously did, creating a ‘Panda’ cake and a ‘Sweets’ cake. With her talent for baking and creativity, she managed to raise a whopping R11 420-00 for Ubuntu House Goodwood in Cape Town by producing two baked masterpieces and raffling them off to the community in aid of the halfway house and shelter for abused and abandoned babies.

“I’d like to thank everyone who supported this cause and bought tickets to help with this fundraiser,” says Elmarie.
