Medical clinic is a stellar success
85 people had their eyes examined by professionals and 60 people underwent tooth extractions
Fantastic! Beyond our expectations!
That is how Mr K Pillaye from the Sathya Sai International Organisation of South African (Estcourt Sai Centre) described the success of the free medical clinic held on Sunday.
More than 150 people attended the clinic, which catered for eye examinations, tooth extractions as well as blood donations. Forderville Primary School was the venue where visiting doctors and a local optometrist set about providing free services to residents.
85 people had their eyes examined by professionals and 60 people underwent tooth extractions.
At the blood donor clinic in the hall, 33 pints of blood were donated and 37 people attended the donation drive.
“The day went very well and members from other centres were very impressed. They could see that there is a need for these free services in Estcourt, especially the dental clinic,” commented Mr Pillaye.
On behalf of the Estcourt Sai Centre, he would like to extend gratitude to the visiting medical professionals and Angela Plows as well as everyone who heeded the call to donate blood.
