Deadline deluge – Courier office flooded
This is a cautionary tale to all to check and make sure all taps are closed during the water cuts, to prevent nasty surprises when the water comes back on.
We have always urged people to be water-wise but ironically, it was us who learnt a lesson the hard way.
This morning we arrived at work to find the office flooded and most of the computers not working.
The cause: A tap left open, during the water cuts, continued to flow during the night once the water came back.
Mike Kenchenten and Terry Worley braved the flooding passages to switch off the tap.
Sithembile Zulu was onhand to document the mini disaster.
