Home destroyed in sudden blaze
The fire brigade put out the blaze and police cordoned off the area.
A blaze which broke out at a Hajee Jamal Street home has destroyed most of the house.
Nembile Security, who were first on the scene, helped carry furniture out from the lounge and garage before the fire got to it.
According to Riaz Haffajee, owner of Nembile Security, the fire started in the bedroom. “It took five minutes for the fire to spread,” he said.
Peacevale community members were also quick to assist with the removal of furniture.
