Ladysmith High School (LHS) presented a pantomime of the all-time favourite fairy tale ‘Sleeping Beauty’ this week.

Of course, there was a modern twist to this well-known tale, making it appropriate viewing for today’s theatre fans.

The production was an entertaining ensemble of acting, singing and dancing talent.

Knitting all these elements together, in true pantomime style, was the delightful humour.

The students danced and sang their hearts out, giving their best performances for their peers and parents.

The pantomime took to the stage at 6pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 3 for the learners and May 4 for the parents, in the Ladysmith High School hall.

Laughter and cheering aplenty was evidence of just how good the production was. There was no sleeping in the aisles!
