German goodies at church bazaar

Popular traditional German specialities such as butterkuchen and mettwurst were on sale, including knitted items

The annual Moorleigh Church Bazaar took place on Saturday, June 4 at the Moorleigh Hall. This event is held as a fundraiser for the Moorleigh Lutheran Church.

Just before the stalls were opened at 2pm, Pastor Carrihill delivered a prayer. Popular traditional German specialities such as butterkuchen and mettwurst were on sale, including knitted items.

The range of yummy homemade German cakes and meat stalls were well-supported as usual. The afternoon closed off with an auction of the homemade cakes. Thereafter the raffle ticket winners of the Spar Tops voucher and Nestle hamper were announced.

The bazaar was well-supported, making the day a success.
