Mayor hails ‘achievements’ at Imbizo
Representatives of all wards were at the Imbizo.
Residents who attended the recent Mayoral Imbizo held in Sibongile heard Mayor, Thulani Mahaye, give a run down on the achievements made by the municipality over the past five years and want residents can ‘look forward’ over the next few months.
Representatives of all wards were at the Imbizo.
Mayor Mahaye suggested that ‘Endumeni has done very well in terms of service delivery and the allocating of homes to the needy’.
He also elaborated on planned housing projects in Dlamini Village, Forestdale and Craigside.
“Other local economic development projects planned included block making and the handing out of wheelbarrows for the rural community of Ntibane.”
A community hall is to be built at Stratford Farm and the Intuthuko Yesizwe crèche at ward 6, Craigside. A media centre will also be put up in Sibongile which will ‘young and old’.
“Endumeni municipality has been committed to delivering basic services to the people over the last five years and will continue to do so,” Mayor Mahaye added.
Other completed projects that were showcased included housing in Sithembile, the installation of an electricity project, Sthembile access roads, Majuba Mhlungu park and Majuba College.
