
Staff of Talana Museum are hard at work, preparing for the Delville Memorial service this coming Sunday.
New panels are being installed with the names of the all the local men who died and the memorials from Glencoe have also been added to the war memorial. The names of local men who died in the Anglo Zulu War 1879,
Anglo Boer war 1899-1902, additional names for the First World War 1914-1918, Bambatha Rebellion 1906, Second World War and after the world wars have all been included on new memorials on the war memorial.

These will all be unveiled during the Delville Wood Memorial service at 11am on Sunday.
“On this Sunday ‘we will remember’ those men from our town and district who gave their lives in service to their country. “
“This combined project of the local MOTH’s, Talana Museum and Tourism Dundee adds more names to the memorial to ensure that people involved in our local history are not forgotten,” said Museum Curator, Pam McFadden. Memorials from Glencoe have been relocated to the Garden of Remembrance, where they can be preserved.
