Glorious Winterton Lutheran Church bazaar
Butterkuchen, homemade bread and Mettwurst were still the most popular items on the menu, but patrons also enjoyed the curry and stew and rice

On Saturday morning we learnt once again in what a wonderful community we live, as our annual bazaar was so generously supported by our local community and visitors to our beautiful greater Drakensberg area.
We say thank you to all who came, both to catch up with old friends and also to purchase and savour our various gastronomic fares. Butterkuchen, homemade bread and Mettwurst were still the most popular items on the menu, but patrons also enjoyed the curry and stew and rice, as well as the pancakes and boerewors rolls … with the tea and coffee table and its special selection of cakes abuzz with customers until the end.
A special thanks goes to all those who are not members of our congregation who tucked in and helped us and donated to the bazaar to make it a success. These included Lance Luffingham, Anton Rencken, Freda Klopper, Joanie Jessnitz, Johnnie and Analies Moore and business sponsors.
Our raffle prize winners were:
A complimentary two night stay for two people including breakfast at The Drakensberg Sun Resort – Christine Witthöft. A cooler box from Afgri (Winterton) – Kerryn Driemeyer.
Roundup from Farmer’s AgriCare (Winterton) – Ronnie and Edna Wortmann.
The weight of the bottle of sugar beans was: 3.594 kg.
The winner was Duncan DuBuisson.
