Thousands of litres of water distributed by Operation H2O

Drought-stricken Endumeni received some relief this week from above (thanks to the welcome rain) and from Operation H2O who on Sunday delivery of 17 000 litres of bottled drinking water.

Operation H2O is a project of the Darul Ihsan Islamic Centre, a non-government organisation based in Durban, who have been distributing water to various parts of KZN where the drought has crippled water resources.

The volunteers were taken to various in Dundee and Glencoe by Councillors, traffic officials and local volunteers.  The first stop was Thelaphi, near Maria Ratschitz, Glencoe central, Glenridge, the ABH Home in Glencoe, Stratford farm and Craigside in Dundee.  In addition, 250 blankets were handed to elderly people in the community.
