They can see clearly now… thanks to the Rotary Club

The spectacles were handed to the recipients and they are thrilled with being able to at last see properly.

The Dundee Rotary Club has partnered with the Lions Club of Newcastle, and their Bright Sight Project, to help those in need of better vision.
Nalini Amaidas at Visual Care Optometrists and her staff tested the eyes of 10 adults and found that eight needed spectacles.
“The forms were sent to Zarina of the Lions Club of Newcastle, and we later received eight pairs of spectacles to be given to those in need. Three of the spectacles were reading spectacles and five were bifocal spectacles, ” said Waldo Thöle of the local Rotary Club.
“The spectacles were handed to the recipients and they are thrilled with being able to at last see properly.
“We thank Nalini and her staff, as well as Zarina and the Lions Club of Newcastle for assisting us in this project, “Waldo concluded.
