Dumping shocker a fertile breeding ground for dog packs

The SPCA was recently at the scene and was compelled to humanely destroy a number of the dogs.

Residents in the vicinity of Indumeni Street in Dundee have been terrorised over the months by a pack of fierce stray dogs that have attacked residents including children.

The residents’ appeals for help have fallen on deaf ears. Indumeni Street lies parallel to Albert Street and Steenkoolspruit between a residential and industrial area.

This unfenced municipal property, that has become an unofficial dumping site, has been
home to this pack of dogs. Two buildings on the property, occupied by a ‘gogo’ and a young man, lie between the heaps of unsightly litter.

The SPCA was recently at the scene and was compelled to humanely destroy a number of the dogs. Residents in the area said they are grateful as, for the time being, they can walk the streets without fear of attack, that is until the next pack start forming.
