Farmers produce cattle of magnificent quality in the face of adverse conditions

Local farmers have shown their resilience in the face of the dire drought to produce livestock of magnificent quality.  This was evident at the bumper turn-out at the Dundee and District Farmers’ Union Quality Stock Show and Sale held today the sale kraal.

While many farmers told the Courier of the difficulties of farming during the drought some have described as the ‘worst since 1902’, the condition of the livestock that was being judged by judge CA Froneman and auctioned by BKB was top quality.

The show is one of the biggest in the area and cements Dundee’s importance as a livestock farming centre in the province.
