Luke’s Idols journey ends

#TeamLuke fans hearts were shattered when it was announced this past Sunday

The Idols South Africa season 12 unveiled its Top 10 and sadly Estcourt’s Luke (Nontobeko) Ntombela was not going to be part of it. #TeamLuke fans hearts were shattered when it was announced this past Sunday, September 18.

So close yet so far for Luke. Luke and Lucia were first on the chopping block.Luke did not manage to get enough votes to stay in the running for the Idols title. She returned backstage as her fate was left in the hands of the judges.

It was evident that she was nervous and tense, only to mention a few of the many emotions that must have rushed through Luke at the time, as she anxiously waited to see if she would be one of the two saved by the judges.

The host and executive producer of Idols, ProVerb asked Lusanda and Luke to return to the stage and then announced that it was the end of the road for both of them. She walked off the stage with a sombre expression on her face.

Luke already has fans on social media hoping and wanting to see her back on Idols next year. Unlike most people in this group, Luke did not have a plan B in place if she did not make it on Idols as she lives and breathes music.

Like any other competition there is only one winner, unfortunately for Luke she is no longer competing to be the winner of Season 12 Idols and had to say goodbye to her fellow contestants.
