Hall opening a major milestone for Estcourt Primary School
Assemblies and sporting events can now continue in the hall and students will no longer be affected by various weather elements
The multi-year effort of the Estcourt Primary School hall has officially opened its doors on Tuesday, September 13. Father Madoda Khumalo opened the function with prayer and sealed the hall with blessings and, the school with many more achievements.
In an atmosphere of great joy and excitement, Mr J Smith, Managing Director of Blue Rock Quarry had the honour of cutting the ribbon and officially opening the hall. The principal, Mrs Lambert began the proceedings by acknowledging the efforts of the families who approached the relevant authorities for the school to be built back in 1951.

She added that assemblies and sporting events can now continue in the hall and students will no longer be affected by various weather elements. In attendance to help celebrate the milestone and the shared achievement were local school principals, educators and sponsors.

Mrs Lambert, who was said to be the driving force behind the hall reaching its completion, also presented tokens of gratitude to all who played a vital role in the building of the hall, the educators also received gifts for their continued support.
The inclement weather experienced on the day did not succeed in dampening the learners high spirits as they entertained the guests with poems, dances and songs, to name a few. An appetising lunch was served to all present after the proceedings.
