Thieves burgle, trash Sebenzakusakhanya Secondary School, Glencoe

Thieves showed no mercy when they stole from a high school weeks before the start of the final exams

Thieves burgled Sebenzakusakhanya Secondary School, Sithembile, last night, making off with computers, cash and a tablet.

The thieves appeared to gain entry without the two security guards taking action.  It is not clear if the guards were threatened.

Locks were broken in the administration block as was the ceiling.  Police said breaking open the ceiling was needless as the thieves already had access to the building.

Police are currently investigating but the principal, Mr Buthelezi,  and staff are concerned about the damage done to the premises.  The theft of computers follows from another burglary in Glencoe where eight computers were stolen when thieves broke into the Uithoek building on Karel Landman Street a few weeks ago.
