10 illegal immigrants arrested at roadblocks

In an attempt to keep our roads safe, police officers from the Uthukela Cluster partnered with RTI officers in holding roadblocks along the N3 route on Friday.
The roadblocks were at the Tugela Toll Plazas.
1730 people and 625 vehicles were searched, and 16 firearms were checked. Eight arrests were made for traffic offences, and a vehicle was impounded pending further investigation to determine if it was not possibly stolen.
In addition, 10 illegal immigrants were arrested.
