The man was stabbed in the head after being robbed of his goods in the Roosboom area. He then made his way to town in a taxi to open a case.
After making his statement, police officers allegedly told the man to walk to hospital, despite the fact that he had a stab wound to the head and was bleeding profusely.
He was making his way to hospital when security at San Marco Centre noticed he was bleeding and called Sharaj Ambulance Services. Paramedics responded and treated the robbery victim, before taking him to hospital.
