Another early Sunday morning, another car through another wall
Residents wakes up to find section of wall in pieces

Alicia Chaput had a nasty wake up call just after midnight this Sunday. “It was about ten minutes after midnight. I woke up after hearing brakes screeching. Then a bang. Then nothing. I decided to go out as I was worried someone may have been seriously injured.”
However, when she surveyed outside her house on the corner of Cuthbert and McKenzie Streets, she was shocked to discover that she could see McKenzie Street.
“I am so used to having my precast… and now I could see the road.” Upon further investigation, Alicia discovered that an entire section of the wall had been smashed. But there was no sign of any vehicle.
“The driver must have managed to drive off although his car must have been badly damaged.” She contacted the police but, disturbingly, no one answered the phone.
Later, she got hold of a security company who sent a guard to watch her property. “I was scared that early morning passers-by would take advantage of the gap in the wall,” she explained. Strangely, the smashed remains of a microwave plate were also found on the scene.
“Perhaps the driver was holding some food on his lap? Who knows?,” Alicia remarked.
It is still not clear who was responsible for putting their vehicle through Alicia’s wall.
