Smiles all around as Spar rewards loyal workers

Later, a huge cake was enjoyed by the staff to celebrate this landmark achievement.

There were smiles all around when a group of long-serving Charlies SuperSpar employees received payouts as part of the Spar groups BBBEE Share Scheme. George Adalis of Charlies SuperSpar told the Courier that the scheme was introduced seven years ago to ‘recognise the contribution that all our staff, both at retail and in our Distribution Centre, have made towards the growth of our incredible brand over the past 54 years’
“One of the core values of Spar is family and a core sense of caring for our people, and to those that need it most. We trust that it will be life changing for many and as can be seen by the joy of the staff at Charlies Superspar when the payouts hit their bank accounts it appears it has had the desired result,” said George.
