From orphanage to SA’s Got Talent

He moved to Dundee where he stayed at Melusi Mission at the eNhlanhleni Care Centre in Sibongile, where he continued to develop his musical skills.

Local rising artist, Daniel Majola (DH Majola), has been nominated in the ‘South Africa’s Got Talent’ auditions in Durban. The show is flighted on etv on Sundays and Daniel was thrilled when two of three judges gave him the thumbs up.

Should he get through to the finals he will go to Cape Town.
Daniel has appealed to Courier readers to vote for him once the Cape Town date has been officially announced.
Daniel completed Grade 12 at Thalana High Schol in 2009 where he played drums and guitar. “I can sing play guitar and play drums at the same time,” he said.

He grew up in a Greytown orphanage. Later, he moved to Dundee where he stayed at Melusi Mission at the eNhlanhleni Care Centre in Sibongile, where he continued to develop his musical skills.
Presently, he lives in Forestdale and has started a project at Empathe School where he teaches school children music. He is looking forward to putting his town on the map.
