Overseas varsity students visit Ladysmith
They were intrigued when they read articles and saw photos on the Ladysmith Gazette website that relate to their project
6 students from Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands visited Ladysmith last week.
The young Dutch students are doing a project on “flooding” and “blocked water drains”.
They were intrigued when they read articles and saw photos on the Ladysmith Gazette website that relate to their project.
Three of the students – Peter Spielmann, Anna Waque and Twanna Roor – visited the Ladysmith Gazette on Wednesday morning last week.
They had an opportunity to meet with the Ladysmith Gazette journalists, who helped them with information they needed, including taking them on a small tour around town.
This was the second time they have visited Ladysmith and they enjoyed it a lot.
One of the journalists asked them what they love about Ladysmith, and they replied that the people are very friendly and helpful.
“We want to thank the friendly Ladysmith Gazette for all their help and hopefully we will visit again,” smiled Peter Spielmann.
