Senior bowlers in superb form
One of the members was also selected for the KZNCB senior team to play in Pietermaritzburg in March 2017.
Dundee’s senior bowlers did well in the Northerns Singles Championships held in Volksrust last weekend. Sylvia Malan won the ladies senior singles while Dougie Slabbert was runner-up in the men’s section. Sylvia beat Rina Lloyd of Vryheid to clinch the title while Dougie was second to Trevor Smale of Newcastle. Dougie was also selected for the KZNCB senior team to play in Pietermaritzburg in March 2017.
The Northerns open singles will be played in Vryheid this weekend. Good bowling to our members participating.
The Klus Civils Bowls Business League took a break on Thursday due to some repair work being done on the greens. The league games will resume on Thursday.
The 70th Friedmann Cup is drawing closer and Dundee Sports Club looking forward to a bumper weekend.
