Local sisters thrilled to meet singing legend

Two ex-Dundee Jugath sisters had a treat of lifetime when they got to meet and greet legendary Indian songbird, Asha Bhosle.
Madhuri Devi, who now lives in Bedfordview, and Kanthi, who stays in Dannhauser, had gone to the concert at the Gallagher Estate, Gauteng, to watch the 83-year-old perform.
“It was so wonderful to see this legend on stage. She is amazing – even at her age,” enthused Kanthi.
To top their evening, the Jagath sisters won a lucky ticket draw to go backstage and chat to Asha. “What a privilege and what a wonderful lady she is. We are two of the most ardent fans of this empress of melody.”
