In a cheerful atmosphere with cool weather shared with family and friends listening to Ray Dylans’ melodic voice, was nothing short of a perfect evening. The Shepstone Place Home for the Aged committee hosted South African singer James Frederick Jersich better known by his stage name Ray Dylan who sings in both English and Afrikaans, as one of the many fundraising initiatives that the committee has embarked on.
Ray Dylan fans sat in awe as they watched his lively performances while others attended for the pure good of financially supporting the aged at the Home. Ray set the stage alight at Linglela Lodge on Saturday, October 8 when the shown kick started after a lovely dinner.
The crowd was mesmerised by the artist’s great sense of humour and his vibrant dance moves, it’s this that will have locals cherishing the memory. He performed some favourites, which had the audience singing and dancing along.
“I’ve performed for many small towns, none had such a great vibe as Estcourt,” said Ray Dylan.
Throughout his show he kept encouraging the audience to support the worthy cause. Shepstone Place Home for the Aged committee would like to thank all those who attended and supported the show.
“The concert was a success, more locals could have attended, but the atmosphere was lovely,” said Shepstone Place Home for the Aged Chairlady Sheryl Lane.
