Support Sunday’s autism awareness day

Talks from professionals begin at 11am and you won't want to miss out on this

This Sunday marks the first autism awareness and family day for Estcourt.

The multi-faceted event seeks to merge education, support, fundraising as well as quality time with the family. The Kylie Braithwaite Trust Autism Awareness Family Day and Fundraiser will be held at the Ennersdale Sale Yards on October 23 and guests are encouraged to arrive promptly at 10.30am.

Talks from professionals begin at 11am and you won’t want to miss out on this. One of the issues very close to Kylie’s mom, Bronwen’s heart since the beginning of planning the Kylie’s autism awareness day and the future, is to fill the very apparent gap in rural area between families with a member diagnosed as being on the spectrum, as well as the organisations there to help and support them.

“It will help families gear up for this life-changing disorder. I want to guide these very special families in the right direction,” said Mrs Braithwaite.

So, don’t miss out on the day’s packed activities, which also include a spit braai and children’s entertainment. Bookings are essential. Contact Lou Parsons via email lynette@lima.org.za
