Dundee Golfers heading south

This year the players have been blessed with a few generous sponsors...

Today, Wednesday October 26, almost thirty golfers from Dundee Country Club will be travelling down to the South Coast to compete in their respective Annual Men’s and Ladies Inter Club Tournament.
The men will be playing at three different courses, Southbroom, Margate and Port Shepstone with a practice round over the ever challenging Wild Coast Country Club on Thursday.
The ladies tournament is being held solely at Selbourne Country Club near Scottburgh over the three days. This year the players have been blessed with a few generous sponsors, which include namely Richard Catlett on behalf of Farmtrac, and Henk Booysen from The Pro Shop who has donated three new golf shirts and a golf cap to each of the players to wear for the weekend.

This past Saturday, twenty four players competed in the 4 BBBS club competition which saw three pairings finish with 44 points, and winning the count out were C Mkhwanazi and J Khumalo, with Walter Du Plesssis and his wife Natasha finishing in second place.
The third position was filled by R Khumalo and his partner C Chawanda. Cyril Mkhwanazi was the only player to record a 2 club on the day, which he achieved on the 12th hole.
Finally, with so many golfers being away at Inter Club this coming weekend, Saturday’s Club Competition will be an I.P.S. event.
Thank you for a very generous donation from Richard Catlett, Coenie Munro, Jenny Ross and all the lady golfers.
