Saving lives with her precious blood

With her O-Positive type blood, Buyiselwa feels strongly about helping others and would like to issue a challenge to the public...

Buyiselwa Lushaba is a regular donor at the Ladysmith Blood Donor Clinic.

She made her 13th blood donation at the clinic on Monday morning last week.

She lives in Bergville, but says that distance is not a problem to her, as she is willing to travel for a good cause. “It’s an honour and a privilege to be able to save lives, so what’s a few kilometres here and there when you are ultimately doing something so important for your fellow human being,” she explains.

With her O-Positive type blood, Buyiselwa feels strongly about helping others and would like to issue a challenge to the public…

“Come and donate blood today! If I can do it, so can you!”

One pint of blood can save up to three lives, so it is of vital importance that blood gets donated, as there is no other way to get blood to help those in need.
