Dundee’s ghosts of Talana – real or imaginery?

Colonel Gunning is said to have been seen as have the Boers on their horses

With Halloween being marked tomorrow, October, 31, did you know that Dundee has its own share of ghosts?  These are said to be especially active on Talana Day, October 20, the anniversary of the 1899 Anglo Boer War battle.  Colonel Gunning is said to have been seen as have the Boers on their horses.

Talana Museum hosts an annual Ghost Walk on the night of the battle anniversary and some who climb up the hill have claimed to have scene ghostly uniformed figures.  Others say they do not see anything but the atmosphere is on the creepy side… they say.

Whatever, it is a great tourist attraction for the town.  These photos were taken by Norman Leveridge of Talana Museum.
