GymKid tops at Ichthus
learners received medals and certificate of participation.
GymKid gymnastics programme hosted their awards day at Ichthus on Monday, November 21. Parents, grandparents and friends were invited to attend to see first-hand the progress the Grade RR and R learners have made in GymKid during the year. Using apparatus such as the mini-trampoline, beam, bar, hoops, ropes, balls, landing mats, kicking boards and bean bags, the learners showed off their skills. At the end of their demonstration, every learner received a medal and certificate of participation.

Chris Mumpi: Mini-Trampoline
Ethan Rotol: Best improvement (Boys)
Khanya Mbonani: Best improvement (Girls)

Arabella Meyer: Best overall gymnast (Girls)
Ichthus thanks Charlene Jansen van Vuuren and her team for travelling from Newcastle once a week to coach our Grade R and RR learners. The school trusts that GymKid will be part of Ichthus in 2017!
