Year-end fun day for paramedics
The day started off with some great aerobics, followed by a 7km fun-walk, netball and soccer

EMRS held their year-end function and a Family Fun Day on Saturday morning at the Kandahar Avenue grounds.
EMRS paramedics do not have holidays during December due to the nature of their work.
EMS Uthukela management planned for the last three months to host seven EMS districts at a year-end fun sporting event (party) with a difference. The day started off with some great aerobics, followed by a 7km fun-walk, netball and soccer.
Family of the staff were also invited to go on the fun-walk.
Family of paramedics have to give up quality time with these life-savers due to the hectic hours they work, and their support is much appreciated.
To top off the enjoyable day, one of their staff recently turned 65 years old and has 40 years of service. It was Ms TP Jwara’s last day of work, so the management and staff at EMRS took the opportunity to wish her all the best “while resting and raising her grandchildren”.
The event was sponsored by all EMRS’s social partners (business people) in Ladysmith.
They would like to send their sincere gratitude and thanks to all of them as, without their support, an event like this could not be possible.
The day ended in the late afternoon, with everyone having had great fun socialising and getting good exercise as well.
