The holiday shopping season is here! Almost all stores are coming out with great sales and early-bird specials to attract consumers through their doors.
People stand in line sometimes hours before stores open so they can lay their hands on great bargains.
Almost every store has something that interests someone. For bargain hunters, one of the biggest shopping festivals of the year would have to be ‘Black Friday’.
But why do we call it Black Friday?
The closest reason for why it is known as Black Friday is given in the Wikipedia: “Many retailers report some of their highest profits on Black Friday. The black portion of the name “Black Friday” relates to businesses recording their losses in red ink and gains in black.” So there you have it!
