Seniors enjoy a day at the dam

A wonderful day was had by all and the members thank all those who sponsored towards its success

Wednesday dawned bright and beautiful, a perfect day to spend at Wagendrift Dam. And this is how members of the Estcourt Senior Citizens Club spent their day.

It was their year-end function and the members relaxed at the dam amongst good company and food. Some of the male members also enjoyed fishing, whilst other engaged in games or assisted with preparations for the day.

Two birthdays were celebrated for Mrs Sanker and Mr Poobie Naidoo. They were presented with gifts and blew out the candles on the cake.

Next, tokens of appreciation were given to Mrs Arthur and Mr Poobie Naidoo for being present for every meeting during the year. Meena Prithipal was also given a gift for her helpful spirit.

The members also said a sad goodbye to Noma Ndlovu, who will be leaving the club after three years. A wonderful day was had by all and the members thank all those who sponsored towards its success.
