A donor with a smile that reflects a genuine heart

With her rare blood type, O-positive, she is determined to save as many lives as possible

For years, Mrs Rochelle Pillay has been donating blood. With her rare blood type, O-positive, she is determined to save as many lives as possible. Ever since she was a teenager, Mrs Pillay has been donating her life-giving essence and has never stopped.

She recently visited the Blood Donor Clinic at San Marco Centre to make a donation, hoping it might be the best Christmas gift ever to someone.

Not only does Mrs Pillay have a beautiful smile, but a genuine heart that is always keen to help others.

She is married to a wonderful man, Eugene Pillay, with whom she has a son, Josh.

“Donate blood today and help save a life!” enthuses Rochelle.

One pint of blood can save up to three lives, so it is of vital importance that blood gets donated, as there is no other way to get blood to help those in need.

She says she has noticed a positive change in her body, which she believes is due to donating blood. Rochelle urges other people out there to also donate, as she says it not only helps your body but could also save another person’s life.

To see if you qualify to donate your life-saving blood, please visit the Blood Donor Clinic at San Marco Centre.

Isn’t it time you were a hero and went to the clinic today?
