Mayor hosts Christmas Carol evening in front of municipal building

Thursday offered a balmy summer eveing for the first Endumeni Mayor’s Christmas Carol evening in front of the municipal building.  With Lucky Mathambo singing some of the much-loved carols as only he can, it set the stage for a fun evening of family time.

Mayor Richard Mbatha was on hand and wors rolls were handed out to those there.  A Father Christmas ‘ho-ho’ed’ for the children and sweets were handed out.  Later, there was more music and dancing.

The only downer was the sight of many later in the evening openly drinking liquor and tossing the cans into the municipal gardens.  If we can get that right, then Endumeni will certainly be into something good.
